To Kindle or Not to Kindle???

There is nothing better than snuggling up in the bed, lying on the beach or just simply relaxing with a good book. I am an avid reader and jump at the chance to live in "another world" even if for only a few minutes a day. When a new book from one of my favorite authors hits the shelves, I'm the first one in line to buy the $25 hardback. This is where technology steps in...I have been researching the Kindle for a little while now and wonder if it is right for me. I have several questions that are still unanswered despite all of my internet research. Number one, and the most important of course is...How will it hold up while I'm on the beach, wind blowing and sand in the cracks? A good ole paper book I can turn over, shake out the sand and continue my blissful line or two before Lucy dumps a bucket of saltwater into my lap. Could a Kindle take it? Number two, is it worth the price? Sure I'll spend $25 on a hardback that not only I can read but share with someone else. Or I can download a Kindle book for $10, have it in seconds and save gas and half the price. Its a tough one! I wish there was a Kindle sample fairy that would drop one off, for free of course, so that I could test drive it, on the beach, in the bed, and of course give it the good ole' kid proofing before I decide to spend $300 on something I may or may not use. If anyone has one or knows someone who does, reviews would be greatly appreciated!!!!

  1. I have never heard of it, I'd say stick with the book! But then if you read a lot it might pay for itself over time.
